1. General terms and conditions individual participants 2021
Article 1: Definitions
1.1. In these general terms and conditions:
- Event: the running event organised by the Half Marathon Zwolle Foundation in a single year: Zwolse Half Marathon, consisting of the Scania Zwolse Half Marathon and the Wavin 4 English Miles.
- Participant: the natural person who has registered to participate in the Event in a manner permitted by the Organiser.
- Agreement: the agreement for the participation of the Participant in the Event.
- Organizer: the legal entity (in this Foundation Half Marathon Zwolle) with which the Participant has entered into an Agreement.
1.2. These general terms and conditions apply to any Agreement.
Article 2: Participation
2.1. On the day on which the Event is held, a Participant must have reached at least the minimum age set by the Organiser for that Event (at the Scania Zwolse Half Marathon this is 18 years, at the Wavin 4 English Miles 12 years).
2.2. The Participant may only participate in the Event if he has completed the online registration form in full and truthfully and the registration fee has been paid in full and if the Participant has agreed to the general terms and conditions. Payment is made immediately upon registration via iDEAL.
2.3. Resale or transfer of the starting ticket of the Event is only permitted via the online transfer form for the Participant in the Scania Zwolse Half Marathon and Wavin 4 English Miles. Transfer is only possible from Monday 10 May to Thursday 3 June 17.00 hours via the online transfer form to another participant. For the transfer, 5 euros will be charged by means of a one-time automatic direct debit. This is also the only allowed way to transfer your starting number. The name of the original participant will be printed on the starting number, but the new participant will appear in the results list under his/her own name. Match numbers are NOT transferable.
2.4. If the Participant has registered for the Scania Zwolse Half Marathon and wants to switch to the Wavin 4 English Miles, the Participant can transfer to the Wavin 4 English Miles from Monday 10 May to Thursday 3 June 17.00 hours via the online transfer form – free of charge. In case of transfer, NO refund of the overpaid registration fee will take place. Overwriting the Wavin 4 English Miles to the Scania Zwolse Half Marathon is NOT possible!
2.5. If the Participant is prevented from participating in the Event, the registration fee paid will not be refunded. Other payments under the Agreement will also not be refunded.
2.6. Due to force majeure, the Organiser may decide at a late date not to allow the Event to take place. In the event of cancellation due to force majeure, no new date will be set; the next edition will take place a year later. In this case, no refund of registration fees to Participant will take place.
2.7. The Organiser is not liable for costs incurred by the Participant when the Event has to be cancelled due to force majeure.
Article 3: Liability
3.1. Participation is at your own risk. The Promoter shall not be liable for any damage, whatever the name, that the Participant may suffer as a result of the participation, unless such damage is the direct result of intent or gross negligence attributable to the Promoter. This exclusion of liability also applies to serious types of damage such as all possible types of damage resulting from injury or death.
3.2. If, despite the provisions of paragraph 1 of this Article, liability of the Promoter for damages of the Participant is to be assumed, the promoter’s obligation to compensate for such damage shall be limited to a maximum of the amount paid by the Promoter’s insurer in the area of such damage.
3.3. The Participant must be adequately insured against the risk of damage he or a survivor may suffer as a result of his death, injury or illness caused by his participation in the Event.
3.4. The Participant declares himself familiar with the fact that participation requires good health in both a psychological and physical sense, and declares that he meets this requirement and that he has prepared himself adequately for the Event through training and otherwise. The Promoter strongly and urgently advises the Participant to be medically approved in connection with the participation in the Event.
3.5. The Participant indemnifies the Organiser against liability for damage that third parties may suffer as a result of any act or omission attributable to a Participant in relation to the Event. The Participant must be adequately insured against the risk of liability for such damage.
3.6. The Entrant shall be exempted from the Promoter for liability for damages which the Participant may suffer as a result of his participation in the Event, unless such damage is the direct result of intent or gross negligence attributable to the Promoter.
Article 4: Portrait right
4.1. Participant shall grant prior consent to the Promoter for the disclosure of photos and images and the like taken during or around the Event, on which the Participant is visible.
4.2. If the participant wishes that a particular photo should be removed, the participant should contact the organisation.
Article 5: Personal data
5.1. The personal data provided by a Participant shall be included in a file by the Promoter. By participating in an Event, a Participant consents to the Promoter to use the personal data to send information to the Participant and to provide the personal data to third parties for the purpose of sending information to the Participant.
5.2. The personal data shall be:
A. At registration:Name, Address, Postal code, Place of residence, Nationality, Telephone number (if filled in), Gender, Date of birth, Email address, Bank account number, Bank account name, Start number, Distance chosen, Category and Amount paid,
B. After the event: Disclosure whether the participant actually ran a distance from the Zwolse Half Marathon, the time run over the chosen distance, photos and videos on which the participant can possibly occur.
5.3. By participating in one of the events mentioned, the participant agrees to the capturing of the section 5.2. the information mentioned. The Participant is alerted to this during the completion of the registration form for one of the distances.
5.4. The personal data are stored on databases of the company Inschrijven.nl. With this company, the Zwolse Half Marathon Foundation has concluded a processing agreement, as referred to in the GDPR.
5.6. The Zwolse Half Marathon Foundation states that it has taken measures to prevent data breaches and to protect the computers made available to it from improper use such as hacking, viruses and malware.
5.6. If a participant demands that his or her data be deleted from the system, this is possible. To this end, the participant must send a request to the organization.
Article 6: Dispute settlement
Disputes between the Organiser and the Participant shall be settled by arbitration to the exclusion of the civil court, in accordance with the arbitration regulations of the Athletics Union or, failing that, the regulations of the Netherlands Arbitration Institute. A dispute shall be deemed to be present if either party declares that this is the case.
Article 7: Rules of Procedure
The participation by the Participant in the Event is subject to the regulations of individual participants Zwolse Half Marathon, which is part of these general terms and conditions.
2. Regulations for individual participants 2021
Article 1
The Zwolse Half Marathon is organized by Stichting Half Marathon Zwolle
Article 2
The Zwolse Half Marathon is held under the auspices of the Athletics Union.
Article 3
The competition regulations of the Athletics Union apply, except insofar as this is deviated from in these general terms and conditions. The competition regulations of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) apply, except insofar as this is deviated from in the competition regulations of the Athletics Union or in these general terms and conditions.
Article 4
The Participant must continue on foot along the course set out by the Organiser, in a manner customary for the wegatletiek. He must be recognizable as a Participant.
Article 5
The Road Traffic Act and the legislation based on it, such as the regulations on traffic rules and road signs, remain in force throughout the course during the Event.
Article 6
The Participant must follow the instructions of the Organizer, or of persons who, in view of the clothing or other external characteristics they wear, apparently belong to the organization of the Organizer.
Article 7
The Organiser is entitled to disqualify and/or remove a Participant from the competition if it does not comply with these competition regulations or behaves unsportsmanlike or improperly or if this is deemed necessary for medical reasons or in connection with an orderly course of the Event.
Article 8
Being guided, indifferent to any purpose and by anyone, is not permitted on the course, unless written permission has been obtained from the Organiser.
Article 9
Bringing (domestic) animals and objects such as strollers, banners, etc. is not allowed.
Article 10
The Participant is expected not to damage other people’s property or leave any waste behind; wild puddles are also prohibited.
Article 11
It is not permitted during the Event to explicitly express political, philosophical or religious ideas or to make statements that may be perceived as offensive, offensive or offensive, in any way whatsoever.
Article 12
The actual assignment of a starting box to a Participant is done by the Organizer. The Participant is obliged to be present in the relevant starting boxes at least five minutes before the start.
Article 13
The Participant will receive a starting number from the Organiser stating the participation number assigned to him. The Participant must attach the starting number to his chest. The starting number shall be attached and worn in such a way that the starting number and other information shown on it is clearly visible. It must not be cut off or folded. The Participant is prohibited from wearing starting numbers other than those provided to him by the Promoter. Failure to comply may be disqualification. The Promoter shall take the starting numbers of Entwed who have been disqualified or otherwise failed.
Article 14
The Participant is obliged to fill in the medical passport on the back of the starting number.
Article 15
The time registration is done by using the MYLAPS BibTag. The gross end times are rounded up to whole seconds in the result. In the case of records to run and associated records, the organization also uses print times and hand clocked times. The passage of the finish by the athlete determines the result of the competition (in accordance with Article 165 of the competition regulations of the Athletics Union).
Article 16
Every Participant in the Zwolse Half Marathon (21.1 km) who reaches the finish line in time has a chance to win honorary prizes. A Participant is not entitled to a prize if he has acted in violation of the regulations. An awarded prize must be returned to the Organiser if, after its award, it appears that the Participant has acted in violation of the regulations.
Article 17
The Promoter shall determine the result and shall be entitled to amend the result after any inaccuracies have been detected. An awarded prize must be returned by the Participant to the Promoter if the Participant is no longer entitled to it because of the modified result.
Article 18
After the departure of the last starting group, it is not possible for latecomers to start. This is because the course must be released to regular traffic as soon as possible after the passage of the last runners.
Article 19
When participating in the Zwolse Half Marathon 2021, the following limit applies: At 22.15 hours the passage closes on the Grote Markt for the last round. The last lap of more than 6 kilometres must therefore be started before then. The finish closes at 11 p.m. This is due to the safety that can no longer be guaranteed after this time due to the influx of entertainment traffic. There is no time limit for the 4 English Miles, but it is possible that the Deelnmer will be stopped by the organization because the runners of the Zwolse Half Marathon go over the same course and then have priority.
Article 20
The Promoter accepts no liability for lost garments or other property of Participants. This also applies to items left behind in clothing accommodation and/or clothing transport provided by the Organiser. The Participant is advised that this property is not guarded by the Promoter. The Participant is not expected to cause any damage to other people’s property or leave any waste behind.
Article 21
Following the race in cars, motorcycles or (moped) bicycles is prohibited.
Article 22
In all cases not provided for in these regulations, the Organiser decides.
3. Business Runs Terms and Conditions 2021
Article 1: Definitions
1.1. In these general terms and conditions:
A. Event: the running event organised by the Half Marathon Zwolle Foundation in a single year: Zwolse Half Marathon, consisting of the Scania Zwolse Half Marathon and the Wavin 4 English Miles.
B. Participating Company: a company or institution that has registered a Team (or multiple Teams) to participate in the Event in a manner permitted by the Organizer.
c. Team: a group of at least three and a maximum of five Participants.
d. Participant: a natural person who has been registered by a Participating Company in a manner permitted by the Organiser to participate in an Event as a member of a Team.
E. Agreement: the agreement between a Participating Company and the Organiser, with the participation of Participants in the Event.
F. Organizer: the legal entity (in this Foundation Half Marathon Zwolle) with which a Participating Company has entered into an Agreement.
1.2. These general terms and conditions apply to any Agreement.
Article 2: Participating Companies; Teams
2.1. Participating Companies may be:
A. Legal persons who have been continuously registered in the commercial register of a Chamber of Commerce and Factories in the Netherlands for more than six months immediately prior to match day;
B. Companies, not legal ly, which have been continuously registered in the commercial register of a Chamber of Commerce and Factories in the Netherlands for more than six months immediately prior to match day;
c. Legal entities governed by public law as referred to in Article 2:1 of the Civil Code.
2.2. The Promoter may decide, in individual cases, to refuse to admit companies or institutions which do not meet the aforementioned requirements and other serious requirements (including late payments).
2.3. Each Participating Company participates with one or more Teams of at least three and a maximum of five Participants per Team.
Article 3: Participants
3.1. A Participant must have reached at least the minimum age set by the Organiser for that Event on the day on which the Event is held (at the Scania Zwolse Half Marathon this is 18 years, the Wavin 4 English Miles 12 years).
3.2. A Participant may only participate in an Event if he has been registered for participation by a Participating Company, via the online registration form that has been completed in full and truthfully and if the Participating Company has agreed to the general terms and conditions.
3.3. Participation in an Event shall be carried out by the Participant exclusively in the Team for which he is registered.
3.4. Due to force majeure, the Organiser may decide at a late date not to allow the Event to take place. In the event of cancellation due to force majeure, no new date will be set; the next edition will take place a year later. In this case, no refund of registration fees to Participant will take place.
3.5. The Promoter shall not be liable for costs incurred by the Participant if the Event has to be cancelled due to force majeure.
Article: 4 Liability
4.1. Participation is at your own risk. The Promoter shall not be liable for any damage, whatever the name, that the Participating Company Participant may suffer as a result of the participation, unless such damage is the direct result of intent or gross negligence attributable to the Promoter. This exclusion of liability also applies to serious types of damage such as all possible types of damage resulting from injury or death.
4.2. If, despite the provisions of the first paragraph of this article, liability of the Organizer for damage of the Participant of the Participating Company must be assumed, the Obligation of the Organizer to compensate for that damage is limited to a maximum of the amount that the Insurer of the Organizer distributes in respect of that damage.
4.3. The Participant must be adequately insured against the risk of damage that he or a survivor may suffer as a result of his death, injury or illness, caused by his participation in the Event.
4.4. By registering, the Participating Company declares that each Participant has declared itself familiar with the fact that participation requires good health in both a psychological and physical sense, and has stated that he meets this requirement and that he has sufficiently prepared for the Event through training and otherwise. We advise the Participating Company to have each Participant inspect sports medically.
4.5. The Participating Company indemnifies the Promoter against liability for damage that third parties may suffer as a result of any act or omission attributable to a Participant in relation to the Event. The Participant’s Participating Company must be adequately insured against the risk of liability for such damage.
4.6. The Participating Company shall exempt the Promoter from liability for damages that the Participant may suffer as a result of his participation in the Event, unless such damage is the direct result of intent or gross negligence attributable to the Promoter.
Article 5: Portrait right
5.1. The Participant grants permission in advance to the Organiser for the publication of photos and images taken during or around the Event, on which the Participant is visible.
5.2. If the participant wishes that a particular photo should be removed, the participant should contact the organisation.
Article 6: Personal data
6.1 The personal data provided by the Participating Company or a Participant will be included in a file by the Organiser. By participating in an Event, a Participating Company or Participant grants permission to the Organizer to use the personal data for sending information to the Participant and for providing the personal data to third parties for the purpose of sending information to the Participant.
6.2. The personal data are:
A. Registration:Name, Address, Zip Code, Place of Residence, Nationality, Telephone Number (if completed), Gender, Date of Birth, Email Address, Bank Account Number, Bank Account Name, Start Number, Chosen Distance, Category and Amount Paid,
B. After the event: Disclosure whether the participant actually ran a distance from the Zwolse Half Marathon, the time run over the chosen distance, photos and videos on which the participant can possibly occur.
6.3. By participating in one of the aforementioned events, the participant declares to agree to the recording of the under point 6.2. data mentioned. The Participating Company or Participant will be informed of this when completing the registration form for one of the distances.
6.4. Personal data are stored on databases of the company Inschrijven.nl. Stichting Zwolse Half Marathon has concluded a processing agreement with this company, as referred to in the GDPR.
6.5. Stichting Zwolse Half Marathon, declares that it has taken measures to prevent data breaches and protect the computers made available to it against improper use such as hacking, viruses and malware.
6.6. If the Participating Company or a Participant requires that his or her data be deleted from the system, this is possible. To this end, the participant must send a request to the organization.
Rule 7: Rules of Procedure
The Participation by the Participant in the Event is governed by the Business Runs 2021 Regulations.
4. Regelement Business Runs 2021
Article 1

It is not permitted to express explicitly political, philosophical or religious views during the Event or to make statements that may be perceived as offensive, offensive or offensive in any way.
Article 12
Participants in the Business Runs start from a specially designed ‘Business start box’. If a Participant starts from another starting box (with the name of the specified athletes with a competition license who start from the competition course), then disqualification can be carried out. The Participant is obliged to be present in the relevant starting box at least five minutes before the start.
Article 13
The Participant will receive a starting number from the Organiser stating the participation number assigned to him. The Participant must attach the starting number to his chest. The starting number shall be attached and worn in such a way that the starting number and other information shown on it is clearly visible. It must not be cut off or folded. The Participant is prohibited from wearing starting numbers other than those provided to him by the Promoter. Failure to comply may be disqualification. The Promoter shall take the starting numbers of Entwed who have been disqualified or otherwise failed.

Article 18
Teamuitslag
- Each Team must consist of at least three and a maximum of five runners.
- To be included in the team result, a minimum of three runners must finish;
- For the team result, the net times of the three fastest runners of the team are counted.
- In the case of a tie, the place in the individual ranking of the third runner is decisive.
- The team with the lowest net total time is winner;
- The time running is determined by the net time recorded with the MYLAPS BibTag. Start delay will therefore be settled;
- Participants who walk with more than one MYLAPS BibTag will be disqualified.
- Each team has a minimum of three employees and a maximum of five employees, each team is allowed two non-employees.
Article 19
The Promoter accepts no liability for lost garments or other property of Participants. This also applies to items left behind in changing accommodation and/or clothing transport provided by the Organiser. The Participant is advised that this property is not guarded by the Organiser. The Participant is expected not to damage other people’s property and not to leave any waste behind.
Article 20
Following the race in cars, on motorbikes or (moped) bikes is forbidden.
Article 21
In all cases not provided for in these regulations, the Organiser decides.
