Are waiting lists also used when the participant limit is reached?
No, the organization does not work with reserve/waiting lists. And there is also NO possibility to register on the day of the event.
I have not yet received confirmation of my registration?
All individual participants will receive a confirmation by email, so make sure you enter a good e-mail address. Registration is only final once a payment has been made.
How much does participation cost?
Participation in the Wavin 4 English Miles costs 17,50 euro. And a starting ticket for the Scania Zwolse Half Marathon costs 27,50 euros!
How can I pay?
Payment is made immediately upon registration via iDEAL. Once registered, a refund of registration fees is NOT possible.
What is the minimum age to participate?
Participation in the Zwolse Half Marathon is at your own risk. Participants under the age of 18 are not allowed to participate in the Half Marathon. Participants under the age of 12 are not allowed to participate in the 4 English Miles.
How is my time recorded?
The MYLAPS BibTagis used for timeregistration. At the back of the starting number (Bib) is an electronic chip (Tag) and a plastic spacer. BibTag makes recording times very easy: you only need to carry the starting number correctly. After the game it is not necessary to hand in the BibTag. You can keep the starting number with tag as a reminder!
When will I receive my starting number?
The starting number will be sent by post no later than one week in advance. Use pins on the vertices to confirm the starting number, and do not pierce the tag.
When can I transfer my starting number?
From Monday 10 May to Thursday 3 June 17.00 hours it is possible to transfer your starting number to another participant via the online transfer form. This is also the only allowed way to transfer your starting number. The name of the original participant will be printed on the starting number, but the new participant will be included in the results list under his/her own name. Match numbers are NOT transferable. The details of business runners and students can only be changed by the contact person of the business team or school in question.
Are there any costs associated with transferring/transferring?
For the transfer, 5 euros will be charged by means of a one-time direct debit.
Will I receive a new starting number after overwriting?
After the transfer, no new start number will be sent by the organization. The participants must ensure that the starting number ends up with the right (new) participant, because it is not possible to pass on a change of address for this.
I don’t live in the Netherlands. Will my starting number also be sent?
No, no starting numbers will be sent abroad. You can pick up your starting number on Saturday 12 June between 17.00 and 19.00 in the Stadskantoor, Lübeckplein 2 in Zwolle (near the start).
Where’s the start?
The Wavin 4 English Miles starts at 19.00 hours for race runners and business runners on the Koggelaan. At 7.15 pm the starting gun falls for holidaymakers. Exactly one hour later (8.15 pm) the Scania Zwolse Half Marathon starts at the same place. The Half Marathon goes from the Koggelaan via the Van Karnebeekstraat(bus) tunnel to a three-lap course in the city.
Where’s the finish line?
The finish is on the Grote Markt and closes at 23:00. The course is KNAU/IAAF certified.
What is the time limit for the Scania Zwolse Half Marathon?
At 10.15 pm the passage on the Grote Markt closes for the last round. So you have to start your last lap of more than 6 kilometers before then. The finish closes at 11 p.m. This is due to the safety that can no longer be guaranteed after this time due to the influx of entertainment traffic.
Can I still switch distances? Those who have registered for the Scania Zwolse Half Marathon can transfer to the Wavin 4 English Miles
from Monday 10 May to Thursday 3 June 17.00 hours via the online transfer form – free of charge. In case of transfer, NO refund of the overpaid registration fee will take place. Overwriting the Wavin 4 English Miles to the Scania Zwolse Half Marathon is NOT possible!
Where can I park?
Free parking is available at Hogeschool Windesheim, Campus 2-6 in Zwolle.
Can I leave clothes/stuff at the start?
For the clothing buses, near the start, there is a bag for each participant on which the starting number is indicated. At the start number is a bag label that can be used for the clothing bag. This bag can be returned near the starting box. Afterwards, the clothing bag can be picked up on the Eekwal,just past the finish line (pay attention tothe numbering!). Only (or similar) bags provided by the organization can be delivered. Own (sports/back or similar) bags are not taken! Remember, you don’t leave any stuff in the City Office. It closes at 8:30 p.m.
Is it possible to shower afterwards?
Participants can use the changing rooms and shower facilities of On Campus at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences until 11.30 pm.
